Aldo Vajra, together with his wife Milena and their three children Isidoro, Francesca and Giuseppe, has created a model winery: environmentally friendly agriculture, high quality at reasonable prices, love and passion are just some of the aspects that characterise this splendid Piedmontese business. The philosophy that guides the choices of the Vajra family is based on respect for tradition, which is why the wines perfectly reflect the terroir of the Langhe: classic, deep wines, deeply rooted in the land and at the same time of great spontaneous character. Vajra is not only tradition, however, but also a varietal and territorial laboratory: in fact, in addition to the great Barolo wines, its range includes experiments such as Riesling Renano and Freisa. Recently, following the acquisition of Luigi Baudana's properties, Serralunga has been added to the historic lands of Bricco delle Viole and Vergne.
The vineyards of the Vajra winery are a small masterpiece, built step by step with care and patience. The attention paid to each phase of the growing cycle is uncompromising, from pruning to the management of the foliage, with full respect for the environment and without the use of chemicals. The Vajra family itself explains why: "We follow the work in our vineyards directly, because this is the basis of quality without compromise, but above all because we love it. Our wines are born elegant, complex, delicate. They have the identity and personality that we would like to find in every glass on our table". Love, attention and passion for their work give life to unique wines, mirroring the beautiful part of Italy that the Langhe represents.
