Chardonnay "Teresa Manara Diciotto Settembre" from the Apulian Cantele winery is a wine with a typically Mediterranean profile, intense, rich and dense with aromas. It comes from very ripe grapes, which concentrate all the sun and warmth of the Salento land. Vinification in wood contributes to accentuating the wine's harmonious softness, which offers a sip characterised by tropical fruit aromas and buttery pastry sensations. It is a version of Chardonnay suitable for those who love whites with a good structure, soft, creamy, enveloping and with great taste persistence.

The white Chardonnay "Teresa Manara Diciotto Settembre" comes from the deep heart of Salento. The Cantele estate is located in the countryside of Guagnano, a few kilometres north of Lecce. The warm and breezy climate, always mitigated by gentle sea breezes, and the poor soils, mainly composed of sand and limestone, have proved very suitable not only for growing local varieties such as Negroamaro and Primitivo, but also for the noble white Burgundy. Chardonnay has been present in Apulia for a long time and in the Salento region it expresses wines with a typically territorial face. At these latitudes, the grape variety shows remarkable ductility and is able to interpret the characteristics of the terroir, with wines that have a warm and intense face. A variety that, despite being native to northern Europe, demonstrates great adaptability and expressive plasticity.

Cantele's "Teresa Manara Diciotto Settembre" Chardonnay is the winery's flagship white. It is made from Chardonnay grapes harvested late, towards the beginning of September. Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks and ends in oak barriques. Before bottling, the wine matures in barriques for a period of about 12 months. It has a bright, golden yellow colour. The bouquet expresses ripe aromas of yellow fruit, citrus peel, tropical fruit, buttery notes, hints of vanilla and soft spices. On the palate it has a good structure and a harmonious, warm and rounded mouthfeel, with dense and ample aromas. The finish is long and very persistent.
