The Chianti Classico by Badia a Coltibuono is striking for its ability to express in the chalice the real identity of the Chianti region. Born in a historic cellar of the appellation, a wine that has ancient origins since it was founded in 1051 by the monks as "Abbey of the Good Harvest" and planted the first vines. However, it was Piero Stucchi Prinetti to transform your basement into a company able to establish itself in Italy and abroad for the quality of its wines. Born from Sangiovese and Canaiolo, both grown in the vineyards of Poggino, Vignone, Montebello and Argenina, 10-35 years of vineyards situated 260-370 meters above sea level and displayed perfectly in the South. After a collection made exclusively by hand, the Chianti Classico by Badia a Coltibuono is fermented with indigenous yeasts for at least three weeks, before spending 12 months in French oak barrels and Austria where he develops all its aromatic complexity where the outstanding notes violet, morello cherry, tobacco and black pepper and its great elegance.
